Follow these easy steps to get your Zanussi ZRT 6656 Refrigerator up and running in no time.

1. Transportation and Unpacking

The appliance and the interior fittings are protected for transport. Remove all packaging and any adhesive tape.

2. Cleaning Before First Use

Wash the inside of the appliance with lukewarm water with a little bicarbonate of soda added (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water). Do not use soap or detergent as the smell may linger. Dry thoroughly.

3. Location

Locate the appliance in a well-ventilated room, ensuring that the air openings of the cabinet are not obstructed. Avoid placing the cabinet close to sources of heat, such as a cooker, dishwasher, or radiator.

4. Ventilation Requirements

Ensure there is adequate space around the appliance for ventilation. The back of the appliance should be close to a wall but leave the required distance for ventilation.

5. Levelling the Appliance

Level the appliance by adjusting the two adjustable feet at the front of the appliance. If required, the washer can be removed.

6. Electrical Connection

Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. This appliance must be earthed.

7. Allow Refrigerant to Settle

After transporting the appliance, it must not be switched on for 2 hours. This allows the refrigerant to settle.

8. Starting the Appliance

Plug in the appliance and switch it on at the mains supply. Turn the thermostat control to the required setting. A setting of 3 is usually suitable for normal operation.

9. Achieving Correct Temperature

Leave the appliance for approximately 4 hours for the correct temperature to be reached before placing food inside.
